Girls weekend alert!!!!

Okay blogger friends. We WERE planning a girls night out on February 5th with my 2 aunts and sister and Grandma. We are all going to the George Strait, Reba McEntire & LeeAnn Womack concert.

Grandma has unfortunately become ill and is not available to come down anymore, so we have 1 extra ticket, one glorious fun-filled exciting ticket!!!!!

I am offering it up on my blog and on Facebook to those of my friends who may be interested in coming. Here are the details that I posted on Facebook.

"Wondering if anyone wants to go to Phoenix on Thursday feb 4 then to George Strait, Reba McEntire & LeeAnn Womack on Friday 5th then drive home on Sunday? I have an extra ticket and a spot in the car I need to fill. Please let me know the ticket is $100 and gas will be split between 4 of us and lodging will be free at Mailyn's house. Going to be a fun Girls weekend without the kiddos!"

I would rather offer it to someone I know that would like the opportunity, before I re-sell it on another website!

Flooded Parks

Okay so we have been under a "Tornado Warning" today since about 1:00 pm to 10:00pm.
The wind has been so bad that after class today it took two of us (me and anther boy) to open the door to get out of the class. My little precious dog just about blew away as he was going out to go potty!
This was the radar image, the red is right over our house!

When we first moved here, we noticed that all the neighborhoods have all these cute little parks for kids...later we found out these cute little parks are actually drainage ditches since there are no real draining systems here in AZ. This is a cute little park by our house today about 1:00pm

We have closed the shutters and staying away from the windows, as the "red zone" should be here within the hour...good thing I have our 3 day emergency kits ready to go!

Great day for TURKEY!!!

We have discovered a new past time...GEOCACHING!!! Okay so we went late Wednesday night looking for 4 hidden in our area with no luck of finding one. We tried again this morning and LOOK WHAT WE FOUND!!!!

Can you tell what it is? It is a tiny capsule (like a pill holder you would carry in your pocket) inside is a rolled up piece of paper that you sign and place it back where you found it. Some of the caches have small gifts or coins and can very in size and you find them by using altitude and longitude coordinates with a GPS system. It was fun to find, pretty big sport.

Then to finish our great Thanksgiving day we went to a movie. "The Blindside" such an inspirational show, we laughed cried and walked out feeling thankful...very fitting for the day. Then we came home and began to cook our Thanksgiving dinner, I think for the two of us (don't forget Murfee) we had a superb meal!

Even Murfee got a plate LOL spoiled dog!

We are thankful that we had such a nice day together, we wish we could have been with family, but things did not work out as we would have liked. We love and miss everyone, hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving!!!

Hill Air Force Base

We had a few extra hours to burn one day and decided to check out the Hill Air Force Base Museum. That place was really cool, especially since it was FREE!!!

Okay, I am not the tallest person, but this tire was still HUGE!!!

Look at all these planes! This was just in one corner of one room!

These were just a few outside...

We also got a spare moment to see some great friends of mine. I am so glad they were each able to get together at a quick notice. I am Thankful that we are still able to keep in touch and see each others families growing so adorably.

I got a broken Kitchenaid from my mom a few month ago. We took it in to get the motor fixed. It cost $40 to fix the motor, which is $300 cheaper than buying a new one! So it is sitting on my counter collecting dust until I bought a pattern, some material and mailed it to my sweet little cousin Rebecca who put it all together and made me this cute little cover to match my kitchen...Almost every person in my family thought it was a birdcage or a hat and they each HAD to try it on their heads?!?!? Thanks Becky, I LOVE IT!!!

The weather has finally cooled?!?!

NOT!!!
We finally dropped down to 80's and have been enjoying the outdoors again. Then just when all the October festivities start up, the heat went up too?
What the heck? We are expected 100 degrees tomorrow, the A/C has gone back on and the creatures have come out of hiding.....here is a little friend I caught creeping on the neighbors house.

Last Saturday (I forgot my camera) we went to the botanical gardens, really it was just a bunch of plants native to Arizona (a lot of cactus is all) but they did have a butterfly pavillion and all we had was our cell phones so here are some of the best pictures I could get.

I liked these little flowers because they were so symmetrical.
